As we are only as strong as the numbers we can muster, it is imperative that we get more to register online to reach at least one million petitioners for both our PM & DPM to sit up and take notice.
Please tell our friends to get about ten of their friends to register at www.petitiononline.com/magp13/petition.html and we will be able to get one million within the next three months when ten gets to the power six.
NOW is the time to get the momentum. We have only 555 days!!!

Good effort, PAGE. I've posted the link to the petition at my blog to generate further awareness.

A small tech tip - you can make a HTML link by enclosing the URL in "< a href=http://www.petitiononline.com/magp13/petition.html> name of link < /a>" (there's no space in the '< a>') For example: Immediately support PAGE by registering yourself in the online petition here. Google for "HTML Tags" to find out more.

Good effort by PAGE. You have my full support. Education is about the future of our children. It is not a political gamble. Please remember that the country's future lies in the hands of our children. What is given to them today would determine what the country would be like tomorrow.

@Anonymous - pls sign the petition - that counts.

However, sad to say that most of the petition signers so far are non-Malays. PAGEM needs to reach out more to Malays. Good Malay folks are being brainwashed by the likes of UMNO and Perkasa to perpetual ignorance - because that's good for political control. Belajar Ingerris, jadi Mat Salleh? Melayu takkan lagi belajar bahasa penjajah! Melayu hidup!
As Ibrahim Ali would say, "I s**t you 3 times".

Will definitely gather support from my Malay neighbours and friends to get PAGE be heard loud and clear!

But that is not going to lead us anywhere, unless NUTP is tied in.
And also to add in more clause such as :
this petition should have mentioned things like teaching in English applies to secondary schools only, else Chinese schools will still suffer teaching 1 subject in 2 languages.

Else, PAGE is hitting on the wrong button.

A better petition was something like the one on supporting breastfeeding at work and 3 months maternity leave.
Hope this help.

I think this petition with 1 simple line sounds too childish to the Education Minister and NUTP and whatnot.
This should be created with more clause and explanation so that members of the public wont be thinking that they are circulating sth great but in the end this is a mere waste of energy.
Just my 2 cents. :)

Good effort by PAGE. You will have my full support. Education is about the future of our children.
Politician should stay away and parents should be a better person to dictate their children future.
Our PM should listen to the rakyat and don't leave to your DPM to make such a big decision alone.
Remember DR.Mahathir made a very fast decision to change from Malay to English with no rejection from his ministry. So can you!

Salam,

Thank you PAGE for helping the parents to voice out the important of teaching maths and science in English. Please I beg the government that we want maths and science to be in English and we want to tell the government that we are really concerned. The action to abolish English in teaching maths and science in English has been critically angry among 99% parents.

Government must be aware that the parents are really concerned about the abolishing of English language as the medium of instruction for Maths and Science. Those that have studied those subjects in BM really feel the pain and suffer during their working life. Many suffer when principle of account is taught in BM too. Please I share the concern for many parents that do not have accessed to the website to voice their concern on the matter. Let me tell the government that 100% parent is my ‘kampung’ unhappy with the government for abolishing PPSMI.

Good job done. I am forced to send my son next year to SRJK(C) since Maths and English will be in BM. Poor boy..finding it very difficult to cope. He is only 6 but has to cope with his Mandarin tuition everday but I am left without a choice, Hope that they will bring back PPSMI next year so that I can send him to Sek Kebangsaan. Thanks PAGE for all your effort...Hats off to you!!!!

Education is one of the key reasons I have uprooted my family to go to Singapore. It was difficult but it has to be done. The turning point was when I realised that the Govt was fooling around with my kids future. There is so much the Malaysian Education Ministry can learn from the system here. They really prepare the kids to be part of the global village without giving up their ethnic roots. Some of the top students here are Malays! I am afraid the Malaysian kids will have a hard time competing in the future especially when our resources are all gone.
I salute PAGE for their efforts and hope there will be positive change soon.

I would want Maths and Science to be thought in ENGLISH especially to the 2012 form 4 students next year, who have been learning in ENGLISH all this while. Students would really find a very hard time learning everything in BM if government is going to abolish PPSMI as they are used to all the terms in English. It would be nice of the government to consider about the students. Changing everything into BM is not going to bring any benefit even to the 'kampung' people.

Saya sokong PAGE memperjuangkan PPSMI.

Ministry stopped fooling around with our kid who had learned their math & science since 2003. After ten years learning in ppsmi and now switch back to BM, is it logical?? Pls let those students under PPSMI remain in their position till SPM completed.

Is the government more interested in the future of BM or the future of the younger generations of 1Malaysia? I'm a Malay who went through kindergarten till post-graduate education in English abroad. For some time I worked in an English environment abroad. Yet,I am still a Malay at heart. I speak fluent Malay. I am a proud Malaysian. I know many like me.

I fully support PAGE to teach M & S in english. Did someone mention Koreans did not study in English and is better than S'pore. Good thinking but do you know Korea can be even better if their children study in English? I urge everyone to support PAGE - they are fabulous!!

I am a rural primary school teacher and I strongly support the teaching of Science and Maths in English. There was a tremendous shift in the interest and motivation towards the English Language among students and teacher (especially non English Language teachers) after the introduction of PPSMI.They were willing to attend special tuition classes to improve the command of the English Language either oral communication or written.
