An Invitation to Parents

An Invitation to Attend the Soft Launch of the
Parent Action Group for Education Malaysia (PAGE)

Dear Friends,

We would like to invite you to the soft launch of the Parent Action Group for Education Malaysia (PAGE) as a registered national society. As you are well aware, PAGE has been in the forefront of the campaign to maintain the option for PPSMI. After many months of exchanges and overcoming a host of challenges, we are pleased to inform that PAGE’s application to be formalized as a national society has finally been approved.

Whilst PAGE will continue in its efforts, it is now the time for us to gather support, increase our numbers and unite under this umbrella for our common cause. As such, we seek your presence at this event to help convey the message that concerned parents in Malaysia are too sizeable a number to be ignored.

Details of the event are as follows :

Plaza Damansara, Bukit Damansara, 50490 Kuala Lumpur

Felicitations and best of luck in getting legal recognition for our views and needs.
For our future generations we need to get our children the best education in Maths & Science as English will remain, for along time, a global language in R & D.
We need a large number in our mmberships' register.
Move! Move! Move! Winning is our only option.

Congratulations and a great big support to your efforts. I know how difficult it is to make this tangible and substantial by actually forming a society, instead of just ranting on Blogspot. It doesn't mean much until things are officially conveyed and lobbied at the right levels of the beauracracy. I hope this is the first step of an ultimately fruitful journey to the future ... no... survival of this country. There are a lot of myopic 'nationalists' out there that we need to engage and convince. Indeed, as citizens of a relatively free country - at the very least, we must be given the CHOICE to chart what's best for our children. If those myopic 'nationalists' want to force their own kids to be myopic/disadvantaged monolingual kampung folks, then let them, but it should be our right to chart a better course for our own kids and our own contribution to Malaysia's survival.

I am really against the abolishing of the UPSR and PMR and also the reverting back teaching of Maths and Science in Bahasa Malaysia. As a teacher i feel the students are getting better in English now. Hope PAGE could do someting about it.

Enough is enough. The government should know PPSMI is important and best for the nation. Just don't manipulate the issue for political mileage. Our children's future lies in your hands. If rakyat's needs cannot be listened and catered for why BN? NO PPSMI = NO BN.

I fully support PPSMI option because Maths and Science education must join to the Real, Internet and Business world. Not based on the unprofessional government report published by politicians. We, working parents know exactly what are needed in this globalization world, not the selfish politicians.
English is not only a language bult culture for Maths and Science. You need to know the exact meaning of the term otherwise it would be very hard for student to master them because one word contain multiple meanings.

Cintailah BAHASA KITA KERANA BANGSA DIKENALI DARI BAHASANYA.

Banyak cara untuk memperkasakan bahasa Inggeris tapi bukan cara MENJATUHKAN MARTABAT BAHASA MALAYSIA.

Jangan jadi kacang lupa kulit

I support maths and science using english. if use bm that mean malaysia government not 1malaysia and just think about sediri. tujuan 1malaysia boleh delete. tak perlu cakap rakyat didahulukan. tak kira Mr. muyaodin macam mana jelaskan tujuannya/fikirannya. pun tiada rakyat malaysia boleh terima penjelasannya (hanya kaki tangannya yang tamat duit boleh terima penjelasannya)I think the perdana menteri mesti fikir masak-masak baru buat keputusan.
